A fancy way of saying you can sit back and relax, while we do the rest.
At Simply Melanie Interiors, we offer full-service interior design that brings your dream spaces to life, tailored to your unique story and lifestyle. From concept to completion, we handle every detail—spatial planning, custom finishes, furniture selection, and installation. Whether you’re looking to transform one room or your entire home, our collaborative process ensures a seamless, stress-free experience. We blend creativity and functionality to create spaces that are not only beautiful but perfectly suited to how you live, entertain, and relax.
Video Call

We start with a 20-minute video call to get to know each other, learn about your project, show you how we work, and go over project scope, budget, and timelines. Then, we’ll meet you in-person at your home for an initial visit. You’ll show us all the spaces you want to transform, and we’ll go over any additional questions & details. After the initial visit, we’ll send over a proposal with all the details and the estimated cost of the project.

Concept Phase

The process starts when we send you homework (aka, best homework ever: a design questionnaire and Pinterest board), followed by measurements and reviewing your homework. Then we have a design concept meeting to go over aesthetic direction, color palette, and floor plan options before getting into materials and furniture selections. The Conceptual Design Phase exists to confirm your scope, layout, investment estimate, and aesthetic direction.

Design Phase

Where it gets real! Let’s face it, you don’t always know how much things will cost so at this phase you will know the exact amount. This phase we can tweak the budget and manage those splurge items with a clear financial picture. We’ll present furnishings that are a fit for your budget, quality level, and aesthetic using our industry knowledge and design expertise. This phase includes mood boards, floor plans, and samples for any finishes.

Purchasing & Execution Phase

Next up, ordering and tracking all of the goods. We use a receiving warehouse to make sure all our furniture is delivered in one swoop, and we update you every other week so you’ll know exactly where your furniture and materials are at any given point in the design process.

Install Days

At last!! It’s finally here. We schedule a day (or days) to have the furniture delivered and install all styling elements to complete your final design. All that’s needed now is a big cheers to your beautiful, renewed home.

Frequently asked questions

After we have an initial consultation and the square footage and project scope is captured a flat fee is given.  This allows you to know the amount you will spend upfront and also allows the designer to have creative freedom and not have to worry about not spending too many hours on a project.

This depends on the scope but the initial concept and design phase averages about 3 -4 months.  During the execution phase this will depend on availability of furniture selections and also the timeline of your contractor.

It’s common to work with contractors on various projects to ensure that design concepts are executed effectively. Many designers have established relationships with reliable contractors and can recommend professionals who specialize in different areas, such as renovations, electrical work, or plumbing.

If you’re seeking recommendations, it’s a good idea to ask for referrals from others as well  or check online reviews to find contractors who have a track record of quality work and good communication. Collaborating with contractors can help streamline the project and ensure that your design visions are realized professionally.

For the first meeting you should come with the rooms that you are looking to have updated.  Please share ahead any architectural plans, floor plans, insp pics or pinterest boards so that I can get a feel for your style.  Also whomever will be involved with the decision making, we would highly recommend attending the consult meeting as well.

Yes and it is critical I get all your input early in the concept phase. Once we enter the design phase you will have the opportunity to review all plans and items and do one round of revisions. It is important to us for our clients to be as little or fully involved as you prefer.  The key is that we continue to move forward with the design decisions.  We have a contract that will clearly go through the process.
